Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Care :
- Conduct patient consultations in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Take detailed clinical histories, perform physical examinations, and formulate differential diagnoses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab, radiology, etc.) and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage day-to-day care of admitted patients and perform ward rounds.
- Assist in medical and minor surgical procedures as per specialty protocols.
- Attend emergency cases and provide immediate stabilization and referral when needed.
Patient Communication & Counseling :
Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis to patients and their families in an empathetic manner.Provide counseling on preventive healthcare, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.Address patient concerns and ensure high standards of patient satisfaction.Coordination & Team Collaboration :
Work closely with senior consultants and nursing teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.Liaise with other departments (e.g., radiology, pathology, physiotherapy) for comprehensive care.Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, tumor boards, or ICU meetings (as applicable).Academic & Administrative Duties :
Maintain proper documentation, clinical records, and discharge summaries.Participate in departmental teaching, training, CME programs, and clinical audits.Contribute to SOP development and adherence to hospital policies.Support quality improvement initiatives and compliance with NABH / JCI standards.Qualifications and Experience :
Educational Qualification :MBBS with MD / MS / DNB / DM / MCh (as per specialty) from a recognized institutionAdditional fellowships / certifications (desirable but not mandatory)Experience :1–3 years of post-PG clinical experience in a hospital setting (can vary by institution)Licensure :Valid registration with the State / National Medical CouncilKey Skills :
Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skillsStrong procedural skills specific to the specialtyExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesFamiliarity with hospital EMR systems and documentation practicesAbility to work collaboratively in a team-based environmentDesirable Attributes :
