Job descriptionIntegrate Kong with backend systems, microservices, and legacy APIs. Create and maintain API lifecycle components (versioning, rate limiting, auth policies). Work on load balancing, caching, request / response modifications, and logging. Implement API authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, Key-Auth, etc. Ensure API performance, stability, and uptime using monitoring and logging tools. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing for APIs. Diagnose and resolve issues related to routes, plugins, latency, and service failures. Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy configurations using CI / CD pipelines. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing. 3–5 years of experience in API development and integration. Hands-on experience with Kong Gateway configuration and management. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Lua scripting . Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and JSON protocols. Experience with API security (JWT, OAuth, rate limiting, etc.). Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins, Postman, and Linux. Good debugging and problem-solving skills. Exposure to container and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger specs. Knowledge of other API gateways is a plus. Experience working with logging / monitoring tools.
