Job Description – Senior Manager / Assistant Vice President – Market Operations (Index)Location : MumbaiDepartment : Market OperationsQualifications : MBA / CA / CFA / FRM / CSTotal Relevant Experience : 10+ yearsIndustry : Financial Markets / Commodity Exchange / Trading OperationsRole OverviewThe Senior Manager / AVP – Market Operations (Index) will be responsible for ensuring seamless trading operations, managing index-related activities, and driving operational excellence across market functions. The role involves coordination with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and external stakeholders while maintaining strict compliance and service standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and ensure smooth functioning of daily trading and live market operations.Coordinate, execute, and monitor the timely launch of new contracts and commodities.Test, validate, and implement enhancements or changes in the trading systems / platforms.Ensure strict compliance with all applicable regulatory and exchange guidelines.Liaise with regulatory authorities and external agencies for all market operations activities.Represent the department in internal / external meetings, including preparation of agendas and minutes.Ensure adherence to established service-level standards across all operational processes.Administer and maintain commodity indices, including periodic review and updates.Handle inspections, audits, and activities related to committees and governance.Manage timely price polling, spot price dissemination, and brand empanelment processes.Use analytical and reporting tools (Python, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) for reporting, insights, and process improvement.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of financial markets, commodities, and trading operations.Experience in market operations within exchanges, trading platforms, or financial institutions.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and regulatory coordination abilities.Analytical mindset with working knowledge of Python, Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting tools.Ability to manage high-criticality operations, multitask, and ensure timely execution.Interested Candidates Can Share Their Updated Resume On-
