Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ESIA, DPR & Climate Resilience Consultant with strong multidisciplinary expertise across environmental science, sustainability, and civil engineering–based development projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Climate Resilience and Adaptation Reports, and integrating Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in line with international funding agency guidelines (KfW, TNUIFSL, ADB, IFC, World Bank, etc.).

This is an on-site role in Chennai requiring close coordination with technical teams, field staff, project stakeholders, and government departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. ESIA & Environmental Studies

• Lead and prepare full-scale Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) including baseline studies, scoping, public consultations, stakeholder engagement, impact analysis, mitigation planning, and ESMP / EMP documentation.
• Conduct site assessments, environmental screening, and risk evaluations as per MoEFCC, IFC, KfW, and World Bank standards.
• Prepare Environmental Monitoring Plans (EMoP), Climate Risk Assessments (CRA), cumulative impact assessments, hydrological / biophysical studies, and social safeguard analyses.
