About The Role

Role Description :

The Mgr. Information Systems position offers a unique opportunity to join a fun, innovative engineering team within the AI & Data Science (AI&D) organization. You'll work on next-generation capabilities and services in Applied AI & Automation using innovative COTS products, open-source software, frameworks, tools, and cloud computing services. The role also emphasizes demonstrating these capabilities to support critical business operations and initiatives, in ensuring quality, compliance, and performance across Amgen's Applied AI & Automation Footprint.

The role is responsible for defining the vision & strategy, primarily responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the AI and Automation Solutions engineering team by ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. The role represents leading the solution engineering and DevOps teams to lead the transition from Intelligent automation to Agentic Process Automation and ensures that strategy and implementation remain connected throughout the value stream. The ideal candidate has strong experience in product management, Intelligent automation solutions engineering, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Play a key role in building and leading a global team of Automation and DevOps engineers contributing to a growing internal AI & Automation Platforms and Solutions management practice.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning in emerging AI and automation technologies.
• Oversee the development and lifecycle management of AI & automation solutions using (e.g., UiPath, Celonis, DocuSign, orchestration frameworks and workflow engines).
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Ensure regulatory and audit readiness in design, deployment, and monitoring of solutions
• Drive DevOps solution engineering practices for platform and solutions availability, performance monitoring, incident management, and cost optimization of AI and automation services
• Oversee the day-to-day management of automation solutions, ensuring that they meet performance, security, and availability requirements
• Manage relationships with business partners, ensuring that service levels are met and that the organization derives the best value from its investments
• Analyze customer feedback and support data to identify pain points and opportunities for service improvement
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the enterprise / domain / automation / solution architecture
• Provide leadership and engineering expertise along with delivery for end-to-end automations that span multiple systems and need enterprise architecture mindset.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that best fit the solution requirements
• Establish and enforce data standards, governance policies, and best practices
