Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical mainframe applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems.
Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Write and optimize COBOL code for performance and efficiency.
Conduct system testing and debugging of mainframe applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of mainframe systems with other applications.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe systems.
Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

6-11 years of experience in mainframe development.

Strong knowledge of COBOL programming language.

Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) and VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method).

Must have 3 years in CICS databases.

Understanding of mainframe operating systems, particularly z / OS.

Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting mainframe applications.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
