We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Manager to lead revenue growth, drive customer acquisition, and manage strategic client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in consultative selling, team leadership, and business expansion with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
This role combines strategic planning, account management, and team leadership, requiring a professional who can operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute sales strategies and go-to-market plans to achieve business objectives.
- Identify and target new business opportunities in line with company goals.
- Prepare and monitor annual sales forecasts, pipelines, and budgets.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine sales approaches.
Business Development & Account Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.Lead end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation, proposal creation, negotiation, to closing deals.Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and account growth through value-driven engagement.Collaborate with marketing and pre-sales teams to create customized proposals and presentations.Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales executives or account managers.Set clear KPIs, track performance, and ensure achievement of team and individual targets.Promote a performance-driven and customer-centric culture.Conduct regular training sessions to improve product knowledge, negotiation, and presentation skills.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.Provide market feedback and customer insights to influence product roadmap and service improvements.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.Reporting & Analytics
Maintain and update sales data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).Generate accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards.Track key metrics such as conversion rates, deal velocity, and customer acquisition costs.Required Qualifications & Experience
8-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.Proven success in achieving and exceeding revenue and growth targets.Experience in B2B / enterprise sales (SaaS, IT services, manufacturing, or similar domains).Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.Solid understanding of sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, Solution Selling, etc.)Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)(ref : iimjobs.com)
