Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Architect Specialist to lead and establish best practices for the enterprise Tableau platform, which will be tightly integrated with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP 7.1).

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing system architecture, high-performance setup, naming conventions, connection optimization, and guiding Tableau developers on design, performance, and scaling strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect and implement enterprise-grade Tableau environments for high availability, scalability, and optimized performance.
• Define and enforce best practices for Tableau setup, configuration, dashboard development, folder structures, security models, and naming conventions.
• Manage seamless Tableau connectivity with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP 7.1) ensuring performance optimization and stability.
• Guide development teams on Tableau best practices, focusing on data modeling, performance tuning, extract strategies, and in-memory optimization (current term : Hyper Extracts, replacing old Tableau Data Extracts).
• Establish governance around Tableau Server, licensing models, content organization, and user access control.
• Monitor Tableau Server health, resource usage, and performance metrics; recommend and implement tuning improvements.
• Serve as a Tableau evangelist for the organization, mentoring and upskilling internal Tableau development teams on dashboard efficiency, query optimization, and visualization best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure optimized data pipelines, queries, and data models supporting Tableau use cases.
• Ensure alignment with overall cloud and big data architecture standards.
