The Master Pastry Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving excellence within the pastry department. This individual supports the Executive Chef Pastry and Bakery by overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless execution of pastry production, and maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
Main Responsibilities :
- Supervise and manage the pastry team to ensure effective teamwork and productivity.
- Maintain consistency in pastry taste and presentation, adhering to company guidelines and quality standards.
- Oversee setup of pastry displays, guaranteeing visual appeal and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor food production, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory management.
- Ensure proper storage and transportation of ingredients, adhering to U.S. Public Health regulations.
- Support the Executive Pastry Chef with daily tasks, training, and compliance, as well as preparing for USPH inspections.
- Develop operational knowledge and attend required meetings to stay updated on industry best practices.
Required Qualifications :
A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef (Mid-Senior Level) or equivalent in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service.A culinary school degree is mandatory.Exceptional management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.Knowledge of personalized services, including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.Intermediate computer software skills are required.Keyword : Hospitality Manager
