Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly motivated Application Tester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, ensuring quality, identifying defects, and improving product reliability. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Execute manual test cases to validate application functionality, performance, and security.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using defect-tracking tools
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and define test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and performance testing on web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage by designing and maintaining test cases, test scripts, and test data.
  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in resolving issues reported by stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update test documentation , including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Ensure adherence to QA best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements .

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
  • Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) .
  • Experience with manual testing , and basic knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, or TestNG is a plus.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and SQL for database validation.
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Nice-to-Have :

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.
  • Basic scripting skills in Python, Java, or any other programming language.
  • Certification in ISTQB Foundation Level or any relevant QA certification.
