PROFFER - Automation Engineer - Telecom / Networking

We are hiring a talented Automation Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience to join our team in Chennai. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a Networking / Telecom background, strong automation expertise, and a passion for solving complex integration challenges in large-scale environments.

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end test automation, including test case creation, execution, and integration testing across multiple components. The role requires hands-on experience with Python programming and proficiency in Linux / Unix shell scripting. You will work on automation projects involving NMS / EMS systems and protocols such as SNMP and NC-Y, making a deep understanding of networking and telecom infrastructure essential.

Candidates with exposure to Nokia Altiplano, Nokia Lightspan, and Nokia Fiber Access equipment will be highly preferred, as these technologies play a significant role in our product ecosystem. Experience in Nokia Mediation, Java application testing, and working with large-scale distributed systems will be highly advantageous.

This role demands strong integration testing skills, requiring you to collaborate closely with multiple teams to ensure seamless interoperability across components. You will be actively involved in requirement gathering, test planning, documentation, and process improvement initiatives, playing a critical role in ensuring product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and design test automation strategies.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and shell scripting for large-scale systems.
• Conduct integration testing with multiple components and ensure end-to-end functionality.
• Perform Java application testing and automation in NMS / EMS environments.
• Document test cases, prepare test plans, and provide detailed reports on execution results.
• Work with networking and telecom equipment, including Nokia Altiplano, Lightspan, and Fiber Access Skills & Experience :
• 4 to 7 years of experience in automation engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on knowledge of Linux / Unix shell scripting.
• Networking / Telecom expertise with experience in SNMP, NC-Y, and NMS / EMS systems.
• Familiarity with Nokia Altiplano, Lightspan, Mediation, and Fiber Access equipment.
• Proficiency in integration testing, Java application testing, and working in distributed : Chennai (Hybrid)
