Job Title : Red Hat Linux System Administrator

Experience : 5 to 8 Years

Location : Bangalore (Onsite / Hybrid as per business requirement)

Certification : Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) – Mandatory

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Red Hat Linux System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RHEL 8 and 9 , system automation, patch management, performance tuning, and security hardening in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 / 9 servers.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security following best practices.
  • Perform system monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting of server performance issues.
  • Implement and manage OS patching, updates, and kernel upgrades.
  • Manage and configure storage, LVM, file systems, and RAID setups.
  • Maintain and automate routine administrative tasks using Shell, Bash, or Python scripting .
  • Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, and SSH.
  • Work with virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, OpenStack, AWS, or Azure).
  • Ensure system backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure system compliance and performance optimization.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Mandatory Certification : RHCSA / RHCE (latest version preferred).
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Linux System Administrator.
  • Strong working experience in RHEL 8 and 9 environments.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux system architecture, kernel parameters, and system tuning.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, firewalls, routing, DNS, etc.) .
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in high-availability and clustered environments .
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) .
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Basic knowledge of security compliance (SELinux, CIS benchmarks, etc.) .
  • Work Schedule :

  • Regular : 9 AM – 6 PM IST
  • May include on-call support for critical incidents.
