Develop and refine3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for automotive components and systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.
Evaluate manufacturability and feasibility of designs by collaborating with production, tooling, and materials teams to ensure cost-effective and scalable solutions.
Conduct design validation activities, including simulations, tolerance analysis, and prototype reviews to ensure performance and reliability.
Support production teams by providing technical input and design clarifications during the manufacturing and assembly processes.
Participate in design reviews and cross-functional meetings, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in product development.
Maintain design documentation and version control, ensuring traceability and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
Skills Required :
Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX for modelling, drafting, and design analysis.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes (e.g., casting, machining, injection molding).
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and BOMs.
Experience with PLM systems and design change management.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset for working in multidisciplinary teams.
