Job Description :

We are building a custom browser based on the Chromium open-source project (Search GPT Browser). The goal is to rebrand Chromium with our own name, UI, search engine integration, and security / privacy customizations. We are looking for a skilled Chromium Developer to join our team and own the build, customization, and release process.

Key Skills :

C++ / Browser Forking, UI strings, Chromium / Blink / WebKit, Browser Internals, GRD / XTB, GIT, Visual Studio 2022 / Clang / SDKs.

Shift Timing : 9 : 30 AM to 6 : 30 PM IST

Key Responsibilities :

• Fork and maintain the Chromium source code for Windows (and later Linux / macOS).
• Design and implement scalable backend systems.
• Implement branding changes
• Modify UI strings (.grd, .xtb, .grdp).
• Replace icons, logos, and default search engine settings.
• Customize internal pages (chrome : / / settings, chrome : / / history, etc.).
• Configure and optimize builds using GN / Ninja.
• Create installers (mini_installer.exe) for QA and client testing.
• Debug and resolve build errors across platforms (Windows primary, Linux / macOS nice-to-have).
• Collaborate with product team to implement new browser features (UI / UX improvements, custom menus, security settings).
• Maintain code repository (GitHub / GitLab) and provide documentation for builds.
