Role Overview
The Head – Infrastructure is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, development, execution, and maintenance of all infrastructure initiatives across the organization. This includes the management of civil works, electrical systems, machinery maintenance, facilities operations, and infrastructure expansion projects. The role ensures that all facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The position works closely with senior leadership to support business growth through reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Planning & Management
Develop and execute an organization-wide infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives.
Oversee civil, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure across all sites, ensuring optimal functioning and preventive maintenance.
Plan and supervise new facility development, renovation, and expansion projects.
Civil & Electrical Systems Oversight
Lead civil maintenance including structural integrity, repairs, construction quality, and vendor supervision.
Oversee electrical systems including power distribution, DG sets, UPS, lighting, cabling, and compliance with electrical safety norms.
Implement energy-efficient systems and ensure continuous power availability.
Machinery & Equipment Maintenance
Ensure proper installation, calibration, upkeep, and preventive maintenance of all machinery and production-related equipment.
Reduce equipment downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Evaluate and upgrade machinery as needed to improve productivity and reduce operational risk.
Operations, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations (fire, electrical, building codes, pollution norms, etc.).
Drive facility safety standards, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness.
Oversee AMC contracts, service-level agreements, and vendor performance.
Project Management
Lead end-to-end infrastructure projects including budgeting, design, timelines, execution, and quality assurance.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
Monitor project progress and control costs to ensure timely delivery.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
Lead and develop cross-functional infrastructure, maintenance, and facility teams.
Manage external vendors, contractors, and service partners for civil, electrical, and mechanical services.
Build a strong ecosystem of reliable and cost-effective service providers.
Budgeting & Cost Optimization
Prepare and manage infrastructure budgets, capital expenditure plans, and maintenance cost forecasts.
Identify opportunities for cost improvements without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
15–18 years of experience in infrastructure, facilities, or maintenance management.
Experience managing multi-site infrastructure and machinery maintenance.
