GAMING FOR GOOD INTERNSHIP
Are you a university student or recent graduate passionate about video games and want to show the world that they can drive social change?
We are looking for an intern who loves video games and is excited about the opportunity to use their skills and education to help show the world how video games can be a medium for driving social impact.
We want to use your passion for gaming and work across the intersection of gaming and mental health, education, climate resilience, gender equality, skill development, peace, nutrition, hygiene, employment… you get the picture. 😊
We are looking for someone who is passionate about video games, project management, and supporting big ideas from concept to execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualising ideas and initiatives for showcasing the positive impact of gaming.
- Constantly being mindful of the pitfalls of gaming including online harassment, discrimination, abuse, and finding ways of negating them.
- Developing annual plans and budgets for activations and events within the video games ecosystem.
- Identifying potential collaborators for the project within the industry, government, and gaming communities.
- Creating outreach plans to engage with the gaming industry, communities, and government stakeholders across India to establish partnerships.
- Developing concepts for activations such as game jams, educational programmes, mentorship programmes, events, research, industry engagements, among others.
- Developing and executing a social media strategy to amplify the project’s reach.
- Developing and disseminating content in the form of articles, press releases, social media posts, short-form videos, among others, to support the project and its initiatives.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Strong passion for gaming.Curiosity about the intersection between video games and social issues.Good writing and analytical skills.Self-motivated and open to long-form intellectual projects.Both students and others interested in part-time roles are welcome to apply.COMMITMENT
Hybrid and flexible.Time commitment (hours per week) can be discussed.Long-term internship (3-6 months preferred).WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
