Cradlepoint is seeking a Technical Lead QA with a solid foundation in networking and a proven track record in testing system-level infrastructure and operations / management. This is an exciting opportunity for highly skilled professionals to design, script, and test innovative switch and router products, playing a pivotal role in our agile team.
What You Will Do : Key Responsibilities
- Design feature tests, script, and test innovative switch and router products .
- Collaborate within an agile team , taking on both development of test cases and full End-to-End (E2E) testing responsibilities .
- Own the end-to-end process , including feature test design, scripting, feature testing, regression testing, and creating / maintaining automation test scripts .
- Contribute to comprehensive documentation and play a key role in ongoing product maintenance and improvement.
The Skills You Bring : Required Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have expertise in one or more of the following areas :
Networking & Routing Expertise :You bring a strong understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts .Proficiency in Layer 2 / Layer 3 protocols , including BGP, ISIS, OSPF, ARP, ND, IPv6, RIB, and BFD .A solid grasp of routing principles and client-server architecture .Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills enable you to thrive in complex networking environments.Infrastructure Services (Infra) :You have hands-on experience in designing and building system-level services , such as system logging, event handling, and health monitoring.Your expertise extends to managing configuration and system state persistence , implementing access control and authentication , and handling software / service lifecycle management .Additionally, you're skilled in working with system-level fault detection and recovery .OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) :You are experienced in developing and integrating management interfaces (CLI, Netconf / YANG, SNMP, ENM) .Capable of supporting observability, diagnostics, and performance monitoring features .Your ability to integrate with external network or element management systems and contribute to the FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security) functions strengthens your ability to manage complex systems effectively.Education : A Master's / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field.Programming : Strong C / C++ programming skills , particularly relevant for testing software developed for L2 / L3 Ethernet switches or routers.Automation & Agile (Plus) : Familiarity with automation testing (using Perl or Java) and agile / scrum methodologies is a plus, further enhancing your ability to adapt and succeed in an agile environment.Skills Required
