Speech-Language Pathologist (Clinical Research & Collaboration Role)

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to collaborate on a research-driven healthcare initiative focused on improving communication outcomes for individuals with speech and language difficulties.
The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with an interest in digital health and data-supported therapy models , contributing to the development and validation of clinically informed, technology-assisted solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise in evaluating and improving speech and language data for accuracy, clarity, and intelligibility.
- Participate in the review and interpretation of speech samples and therapy progress data to support clinical and research objectives.
- Contribute to the creation of standardized assessment frameworks and therapy protocols aligned with evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including healthcare professionals, researchers, and technical experts—to ensure clinical relevance in all deliverables.
- Maintain compliance with ASHA , NIH , and HIPAA guidelines for clinical data integrity and patient confidentiality.
- Support the preparation of clinical documentation, case reviews, and reports for internal validation and publication efforts.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with speech analysis tools (e.g., Praat, Audacity, or similar acoustic software).Working knowledge of teletherapy platforms and digital health documentation tools .Understanding of speech acoustics , phonetic transcription (IPA) , and intelligibility scoring .Basic comfort with data annotation , speech sample review , or structured feedback systems .Exposure to evidence-based digital therapy or rehabilitation technologies is an advantage.Preferred Skill Set
Experience with neurological speech disorders such as Dysarthria, Apraxia, Parkinson’s or Aphasia.Prior involvement in clinical research or collaborative healthcare projects .Experience in tele practice or virtual speech therapy delivery .Research or familiarity with Project Euphonia , Voiceitt , or Whisper-based ASR systems .Knowledge of data annotation , speech transcription , or voice quality assessment .Experience with standardized speech assessment tools such as :GFTA-2 (Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation, Pearson)FDA-2 (Frenchay Dysarthria Assessment, PRO-ED Inc.)SSI-4 (Stuttering Severity Instrument, PRO-ED Inc.)Knowledge or hands-on experience with these assessment tools is highly valued.Data collection or contribution toward datasets for speech-impaired populations is encouraged and appreciated.Interest in building accessible, AI-powered tools for individuals with neurological speech impairments .Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the United States is mandatory.ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.Minimum 1+ years of clinical experience in speech or communication disorders.Familiarity with U.S. clinical standards and documentation protocols .Clinical and Ethical Commitment
