Job description

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager who thrives in high-performance environments and is passionate about building scalable, high-quality products. You will lead a cross-functional team of talented engineers, shaping our technology, architecture, and delivery processes.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and hands-on product development experience, who has transitioned into a managerial role or is a Tech Lead looking to grow into Engineering Leadership.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and mentoring a team of up to 15 engineers to deliver high-impact features and products.
  • Driving the design, development, and delivery of scalable back-end and front-end systems.
  • Owning end-to-end delivery, ensuring quality, timelines, and performance benchmarks are met.
  • Working closely with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Guiding the team on technical challenges, design reviews, code quality, and architecture discussions.
  • Contributing to hands-on coding in critical modules and design prototyping as needed.
  • Promoting engineering best practices including CI / CD, testing, monitoring, and reliability.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and high ownership within the team.
  • Attracting, retaining, and developing top-tier engineering talent.

What you’d have

  • 10–15 years in software development with a strong product focus.
  • Degree from a Tier-1 college (IIT, NIT, BITS, etc.) in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience leading or mentoring small to mid-sized engineering teams.
  • Strong coding and architectural skills in backend technologies : Go, Java, Python, Node.js.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and scalable systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high-performance systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and system design capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in fast-paced start-ups or product-based companies.
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), messaging systems, API-first development.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
