We are seeking an experienced professional to lead Research & Policy Advocacy initiatives within the food and agriculture ecosystem. The role involves conceptualising and executing high-impact research projects, driving evidence-based policy advocacy, and engaging with key industry and government stakeholders at the national and global levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research & Project Execution
- Co-design research projects / studies, define scope and frameworks
- Lead data collection, statistical / economic analysis, and policy assessments
- Engage with stakeholders across industry, government, and think-tanks
- Produce high-quality reports, publications, and presentations
- Ensure timely delivery of all research outcomes
2. Policy Advocacy
Identify strategic policy issues emerging from research and industry engagementArticulate viewpoints considering diverse stakeholder perspectivesBuild sustained engagement with government bodies, industry associations, and expertsRepresent the organisation in key policy dialogues and consultations3. Strategic Sector Development
Identify future-focus areas in the agrifood sector based on emerging trendsDrive thought leadership across new and evolving policy domainsSupport multi-stakeholder collaborations to shape sectoral priorities4. Proposal & Business Development
Track RFPs / EoIs and new opportunities for research and advocacy projectsIdeate with internal teams and external stakeholders on project conceptsDevelop high-quality proposals aligned with sectoral needs and organisational goalsQualifications
Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Agricultural Economics, or Agribusiness ManagementMinimum 8 years of experience in food & agriculture, research, or policy rolesStrong command of quantitative & qualitative research methodsExcellent analytical, writing, and presentation skillsProven stakeholder management experience (industry, government, global institutions)Ability to multitask and deliver within timelines
