About the Role

An Associate Manager - HR Compliance is responsible for ensuring Navi’s adherence to all applicable statutory and regulatory labour laws, including those specific to the financial services industry (IRDAI, RBI, SEBI). This role involves end-to-end execution, documentation, governance, vendor coordination, audits, and proactive process improvement across HR compliance activities at the entity and group levels.

What We Expect From You

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance Execution

  • Ensure timely compliance with all applicable labour laws : EPF, ESIC, PT, LWF, CLRA, S&E Acts, ID Act, Gratuity Act, etc.
  • Oversee state-wise compliance requirements and filings across locations.
  • Conduct onboarding checks for statutory forms and declarations (Form 2, ESIC, PF nomination, UAN verification).
  • Address and resolve employee PF-related queries in coordination with vendors and regional offices.
  • Ensure real-time tracking and closure of compliance deliverables using Navi’s compliance tracking system.

Sector-Specific Compliance (Financial Services)

  • Interpret and implement HR compliance guidelines issued by IRDAI, RBI, SEBI.
  • Maintain awareness of new and changing regulatory mandates affecting HR operations and workforce governance.
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained as per the requirements of sector regulators.
  • Documentation, Inspections & Governance

  • Maintain statutory registers, compliance folders, and inspection records.
  • Coordinate and support internal, external, and regulatory audits for HR data, PI data, and vendor data.
  • Ensure state-wise minimum wages audit, and holiday calendar review and publishing.
  • Ensure mandatory displays (e.g., POSH posters, statutory abstracts, notice boards) are up-to-date at all locations..
  • Regulatory Liaison & Risk Mitigation

  • Coordinate with regional PF, ESIC, PT, and LWF offices for issue resolution and documentation requirements.
  • Handle labour inspections and respond to regulatory notices in collaboration with Legal and Admin teams.
  • Escalate potential compliance lapses and support corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Legal, Admin, Finance, HRBPs, and external vendors to ensure seamless compliance execution.
  • Translate compliance requirements into SOPs and workflows in consultation with internal
  • stakeholders.

    Projects & Process Improvements

  • Lead or support projects focused on :
  • ○ Labour law changes, compliance automation, and digital recordkeeping.

    ○ Policy updates and awareness campaigns for regulatory compliance.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for simplification and standardization in compliance processes.
  • Must Haves

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Human Resources, Labour Law, or related field.
  • Additional certification in labour law or statutory compliance is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HR compliance, preferably in a regulated industry (financial services, fintech, or insurance).
  • Hands-on experience managing compliance audits, inspections, and liaising with regulatory authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of central and state labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Familiarity with sector-specific compliance (IRDAI, RBI, SEBI).
  • Ability to manage multi-state compliance complexity.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and audit readiness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using compliance tracking tools, HRMS and MS Office.
