Role Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

The SAP PP Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP Production Planning solutions to streamline manufacturing processes. The role involves analyzing business requirements, configuring SAP PP modules, troubleshooting issues, and providing ongoing support to ensure optimal system performance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

SAP PP System Implementation

  • Gather business requirements and map them to SAP PP functionality.
  • Configure SAP PP modules, including Material Requirements Planning ( MRP ), Capacity Planning ( CP ), and Shop Floor Control ( SFC ).
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure smooth system functionality.

Process Optimization

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Optimize production and inventory management workflows using SAP tools.

    • Support And Troubleshooting

  • Provide post-implementation support for SAP PP systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve system-related queries promptly.

    • Training And Documentation

  • Prepare training materials and provide end-user training sessions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and issue resolutions.

    • Integration With Other SAP Modules

  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP PP and other modules like SAP MM ( MaterialManagement ), SAP SD ( SalesandDistribution ), and SAP QM ( QualityManagement ).

    • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience :
  • 3–5 years of experience as an SAP PP Consultant or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP PP module implementation and support.
  • Certifications :
  • SAP PP certification is preferred.

    • Skills And Competencies

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning workflows.
  • Proficiency in SAP PP module configuration and customization.
  • Knowledge of integration between SAP PP and other SAP modules.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration.

    • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Successful implementation of SAP PP projects on schedule.
  • Reduction in production cycle times and inventory costs.
  • User adoption rates and satisfaction scores.
  • Efficient resolution of system issues and queries.
