Selenium Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java / Python / C#.
• Analyze user stories and requirements to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases .
• Perform functional , regression , and integration testing across web applications.
• Maintain and enhance the automation framework for scalability and reusability.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment.
• Log and track bugs using tools like JIRA , and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform cross-browser and platform compatibility testing.
• Integrate automation tests into CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Prepare test data and perform backend validations using SQL queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 4 to 6 years of experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver .
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java , Python , or C# .
• Experience with TestNG , JUnit , or Cucumber (for BDD).
• Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle , Agile / Scrum , and QA methodologies .
• Hands-on experience with test management tools like JIRA , Zephyr , or qTest .
• Experience in CI / CD integration using Jenkins , Git , or Azure DevOps .
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of REST API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured .
• Good knowledge of SQL for backend validation.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Exposure to cloud-based test platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Basic knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
• ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
