Expertise in

PostgreSQL

(schemas, functions, triggers, views, procedures).

Strong

SQL

query writing, optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience with

execution plans ,

indexing , and

data modeling .

Knowledge of

transactions ,

concurrency , and

isolation levels .

Integration experience with

Java / Python

applications.

Exposure to

cloud PostgreSQL

(AWS RDS / Aurora, GCP Cloud SQL / Spanner).

Experience in

database performance improvement

and

migration

from legacy DBs.

Proficiency in

shell scripting

and familiarity with

Elasticsearch .

Secondary Skills : Knowledge of

unit testing

frameworks (pgTAP, DbUnit).

Experience with

PostgreSQL extensions

(PostGIS, pg_stat_statements, TimescaleDB).

Hands-on with

backup / recovery ,

HA , and

database security .

Familiarity with

ETL tools

(Airflow, Talend, dbt) and

streaming tools

(Kafka, ActiveMQ).

Understanding of

CI / CD

for database deployments.
