Job Profile - This is a FinOps role, where, we are preferring the incumbent to have hands-on experience in cloud engineering, along with specific FinOps / cloud cost management and optimization experience.

"As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment to drive technical solutions to cloud cost management and governance problems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help provide visibility and traceability of service usage and cost breakdown for FICO products and services, optimization of cloud costs, work to provide automated investigation of cost anomalies, and generally provide strategic insights into cloud cost management and governance.”
What You’ll Contribute
- Strategic Automation & Tooling : Automation of FinOps tools, streamlining cost management processes, improving financial visibility, and empowering data-driven decision-making.
- Proactive Cost Anomalies Resolution : Develop strategic frameworks to detect and resolve cloud cost anomalies, ensuring proactive cost control and reducing unnecessary cloud expenditures.
- Insightful Reporting & Analytics : Establish real-time and predictive analytics systems, providing leadership with actionable insights on cloud usage trends and forecasting future expenses to support long-term planning.
- Cost Governance Leadership : Define and enforce cloud governance policies, driving AWS resource efficiency and accountability across teams, ensuring financial discipline.
- Collaborative Leadership : Partner with stakeholders across Engineering, Finance, and Operations to translate technical decisions into strategic financial insights, influencing cloud strategies and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- AWS FinOps strategy using AWS Cost Explorer and native billing tools to drive cost governance, budgeting, and financial accountability across business units.
- Automate cost optimization workflows, including rightsizing, auto scaling, and idle workload scheduling, reducing waste and improving cloud efficiency.
- Enhance tagging policies and account-level cost tracking to improve visibility, chargeback accuracy, and informed resource decisions.
- Implement cost guardrails and anomaly detection systems to proactively flag unexpected spend and enforce financial policies.
- Streamline budget forecasting using usage trend analysis and integrated cost insights into planning cycles for accurate projections.
- Provide executive leadership with actionable reports on cloud cost trends, optimisation impact, and cloud investment strategies.
What We’re Seeking
Advanced experience working in an AWS Environment (required).AWS Certifications & FinOps Certification (preferred).Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, cloud pricing models, and cost management tools.Proven experience with secure design and architecture in a dynamic Cloud Environment.Financial Acumen - Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.Data Analysis - Experience with analyzing cloud usage data, identifying trends, and using data to make informed decisions about cost optimization.Problem Solving - Ability to identify and resolve cloud cost issues, troubleshoot problems, and perform root cause analysis.Communication and Collaboration - Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
