Position : Government Pre-Sales Head

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Government Pre-Sales Head to lead our business development and client engagement initiatives across government and public sector organizations in India. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in selling technology and digital transformation solutions to government entities, with a proven track record of managing the end-to-end sales process — from RFP to closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development and sales strategy for government and public sector clients across India.
- Manage the entire RFP lifecycle — from identifying tenders, preparing proposals, coordinating responses, and ensuring compliance through to bid submission and post-bid clarifications.
- Actively participate in government tenders and bidding processes, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Build and nurture relationships with key government departments, public sector undertakings, and policy bodies.
- Collaborate with internal teams including pre-sales, solution architecture, delivery, and finance to craft competitive and compliant proposals
- Oversee bid defense presentations, proposal negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives while driving revenue and market share growth in the government vertical.
Required Experience & Skills
12–17 years of experience in technology sales with strong exposure to government and public sector.Proven expertise in end-to-end RFP management, government tendering, bid preparation, and contract finalization.Strong understanding of government procurement norms, e-procurement portals, GEM, NIC, and tendering guidelines.Proven track record in end-to-end government deal cycles, including RFP management, bidding, and compliance processes.Prior experience working with large IT services or Digital Transformations projects in Government SectorStrong understanding of Digital Transformation, Cloud, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to operate independently and build long-term strategic relationships with key government bodies.Preferred Background
Experience leading or being part of major government digital transformation programs.Strong network within central and state government agencies.MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology (preferred).
