Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team in Gurgaon. The candidate will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware / software issues, assisting users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and basic applications (MS Office, browsers, email clients, etc.).
- Handle network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, basic router / switch configurations).
- Support users via phone, email, or in person , and log issues in the ticketing system.
- Assist with system upgrades, patch installations, and antivirus updates .
- Perform routine maintenance such as system health checks, backup checks, and device installations .
- Coordinate with senior engineers or vendors for unresolved issues.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure adherence to IT policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or related field.Basic understanding of :Windows OS and MS OfficeHardware components and troubleshootingNetworking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS)Strong communication and customer-service skills.Ability to learn quickly and follow processes.Preferred (Good to Have)
Certification such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft MCP .Experience with any ticketing tool (ServiceNow, Jira, Fresh service, etc.).Basic knowledge of Active Directory (user creation, password reset).Work Environment
On-site role based in Gurgaon .May require rotational shifts depending on business needs.
