Meet Our Team :

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive experience in UI technologies and in-depth understanding of React, state management like Redux, and a solid understanding of Java fundamentals. This individual will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with our design, product, and backend teams to bring modern and engaging interfaces to life.

Basic understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Basic knowledge of web accessibility standards ( WCAG) and best practices.
Experience with state management libraries like Redux .
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a Scrum team , with strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
Experience with Generative AI (good to have) : Exposure to applying GenAI in real-world scenarios — such as integrating AI-driven features, building prototypes with large language models, or experimenting with 'vibe coding' / AI-assisted development workflows.

What You'll Do at Pega :

Develop :

Develop, test, and maintain highly responsive, visually appealing user interfaces using React and associated technologies.

Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs.

Implement state management solutions using Redux to ensure seamless application workflows.

Code Quality : Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and reusability.

Component Architecture :

Use HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), along with React, TypeScript to Develop reusable and modular components following best practices .Proficiently manage state using technologies like Redux and ensure smooth data flow and application state consistency.

Tooling and Build Systems : Configure and optimize build tools like Webpack or other bundling technologies to streamline development workflows.

Testing : Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure robustness and reliability of applications.

Performance Optimization : Identify bottlenecks and optimize web applications for speed and scalability.

Bring a keen eye for usability , ensuring that every feature enhances the overall user experience and meets design specifications

Who You Are :

You are a high-energy software engineer that can envision innovative solutions for new feature development, implement efficient testing for the variety of platforms Pega supports and can work effectively as an individual, paired with another engineer and as a team member. You must have a strong react, other UI technologies and come prepared to learn and explore Pegasystems’ technology. You are expected to think independently, but also value teamwork as you design and develop first-rate software in a collaborative setting.

What You've Accomplished :

Expertise in Frontend Technologies (2-4 years of experience) :

Advanced proficiency in HTML , CSS , and JavaScript (ES6+).Strong foundation in Java, with the ability to troubleshoot and contribute to backend features when needed.In-depth understanding of React.js and its core principles, including React Hooks , state management, and component lifecycle.Strong experience with TypeScript and its advanced features.

Bundling and Build Tools : Solid understanding of Webpack , Babel , and other build tools / bundlers.Experience with optimizing build processes for performance and efficiency.

Version Control & CI / CD : Experience working with Git and version control systems.Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Cross-Browser & Responsive Development : Proven ability to develop applications that work seamlessly across multiple browsers and devices.

Experience writing unit and integration tests using testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library .
