Job description

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of capital equipment, experience in press machines is preferable
  • Good understanding of the press industry
  • In-depth machine knowledge
  • Market understanding, trends, and customer requirements

Market Skills

  • Knowledge of sheet metal and press machine markets
  • Understanding of customer segments and buying behavior
  • Strong presentation skills – clear, concise, and confident
  • Willingness to travel, meet customers, and generate enquiries
  • Ability to negotiate (trainable)
  • Awareness of competitor products and strategies

  • Generate enquiries and follow up with existing customers
  • Conduct initial discussions and groundwork for sales
  • Gain thorough product knowledge
  • Achieve sales targets set by management
  • Present and promote the product effectively
  • Visit new customers and prospect for business opportunities
  • Negotiate terms and close sales
  • Travel extensively for customer meetings and market visits
  • Coordinate with principals on order status
  • Maintain updated records of sales, enquiries, and orders
  • Report to Product / Senior Managers regularly
  • Maintain case files and documentation with admin support
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and events
  • Stay updated on competitor activities
  • Work within company parameters and policies

  • Increase sales of Laser Cutting Machines and related products
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Prospect and expand the customer base
  • Understand customer requirements and share insights
  • Provide accurate quotations with management support
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and specifications
  • Review own sales performance to meet / exceed targets
  • Share insights on future buying trends
  • Qualifications

    Diploma / BE Mechanical / Electrical with 2–5 years experience
