QA / QC Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a QA / QC Engineer to ensure the quality of our software features throughout the development process. This role involves using automated and manual testing, providing status reports, verifying defects, and approving features and release candidates. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and test cases, significantly impacting our software's quality and delivery speed, benefiting our business and customers. Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, you will help ensure the high quality of delivered features. Furthermore, you will have the chance to suggest enhancements to our current processes and automated tools to boost the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities

Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other team members to understand software quality requirements and design effective test strategies.

Define release planning and provide input on the readiness of software for production deployment.

You will be working with the QA Team to test code at a user level - both manually and with automated tools - to ensure highest quality product delivery.

Collaborate with peers to help drive the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

Work with component teams to identify the pain points in their area and provide technical guidance.

Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for various software components, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Perform root cause analysis of complex issues and work with the development team to resolve issues and enhance the overall product quality.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and testing, and apply this knowledge to improve testing processes continuously.

Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on the quality of software products and test effectiveness. Adhere to standard quality assurance best practices and publish regular quality metrics

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

2-3 years of Quality Assurance Engineering experience, priorly in Automation Testing.

Have proficiency in Python test automation with experience in any of the frameworks (PyTest, Playwright (Preferable) , Selenium, or Cypress)

Have experience in API testing and web services using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

Have experience in virtualization technologies such as Docker / Kubernetes / VMware to create and manage test environments efficiently.

Be comfortable working with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins

Have experience in Agile environments and proficiency with JIRA,No Confluence, Git.

Good To Have :

Familiarity with WebSockets for real-time features.

Prior experience working with VoIP / Real-time communication technologies : WebRTC, SIP, IP PBX

Have experience in Mobile Testing using Appium

Have hands-on experience with writing tests for Django applications.

Demonstrated knowledge of testing one or more of the following : server performance, API interfaces, databases, file systems, operating systems, network performance and storage.

Having experience in Performance Testing using JMeter / K6.

Be comfortable in Unix / Linux environments with scripting capabilities.
