Job Purpose
- Support Lead, Revenue Data Science, to develop and implement advanced analytics models for revenue forecasting, pricing optimization, and demand analysis, leveraging large datasets and statistical techniques.
- Conduct in-depth data exploration and hypothesis testing to identify revenue opportunities, assess pricing elasticity, and evaluate the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, contributing to the development of data-driven revenue generation strategies and initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Data Analysis and Insights Generation
Conduct advanced data analysis using SQL, Python, R, or other relevant tools to extract insights specific to revenue performance metrics like yield, load factor, revenue per available seat kilometer (RASK), and revenue per passenger kilometer (RPK).Develop and maintain predictive models for revenue forecasting and optimization, incorporating factors such as demand trends, pricing strategies, competitor analysis, and market dynamics.Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in revenue data, leading to actionable recommendations for revenue enhancement.Performance Reporting and Visualization
Create and maintain performance dashboards and visualizations tailored to revenue management stakeholders, providing real-time insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, revenue per segment, and revenue per customer.Collaborate with IT teams to automate data collection processes and ensure seamless integration of data sources for accurate and timely reporting.Data Integrity and Validation
Implement data quality checks and validation routines to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of revenue data sources, including sales transactions, fare structures, passenger bookings, and ancillary revenue streams.Perform data cleansing activities to address data anomalies, outliers, and duplicates, maintaining data integrity standards across revenue management systems and databases.Collaboration and Process Improvement
Work closely with Revenue Management teams, including Network Planning, Revenue Optimization, and Inventory Control, to align data analytics initiatives with revenue generation strategies and operational objectives.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in revenue analytics and data science, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to drive continuous improvement in revenue performance analytics processes and methodologies.Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work.
