Job Purpose
To create and facilitate a vibrant, Reggio Emilia-inspired learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in young learners. This role supports children’s self-directed exploration through hands-on, STEM-based experiences, integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and literacy. The educator acts as a guide and co-learner, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive space that encourages innovation and collaboration.
Key Role
- Facilitate inquiry-led and project-based learning by integrating STEM, arts, and literacy in a hands-on, child-centred environment.
- Create and maintain an inspiring studio space with diverse materials, provocations, and collaborative opportunities, while engaging parents and the school community in the learning journey.
Responsibilities
Design and facilitate learning experiences aligned with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and STEM principles.Create an emotionally safe and intellectually stimulating environment for exploration, experimentation, and innovation. Guide children in project-based and inquiry-led learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with early literacy and creative arts.Observe, document, and assess children’s learning journeys using anecdotal records, photographs, and portfolios.Encourage reflective thinking, questioning, and unstructured play to support the development of problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Organize and maintain the learning studio space with rotating provocations and materials that inspire creativity and innovation.Collaborate with homeroom teachers and subject experts to integrate studio learning with the broader curriculum.Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with best practices in early childhood pedagogy, STEM education, and maker-centered learning.Involve parents and the larger school community in children’s learning processes through exhibitions, documentation panels, and open studio events.Desirable Skills & Dispositions

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field; Diploma / Certification in Reggio Emilia, Montessori, STEM, or Maker-Centered Learning preferred.
