Job description

Title : Senior SAP ABAP Developer RAP & Fiori Applications

Experience Required : 5+ Years

Location : Remote (with occasional travel to Bangalore office)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and ABAP on HANA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing scalable, high-performance custom applications using advanced ABAP techniques.

This role requires hands-on experience in building Fiori-based applications, applying clean core principles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :

  • Design and develop custom applications using advanced ABAP techniques optimized for SAP HANA.
  • Build Fiori-based applications using RAP, including :

Behavior definitions

Projection views

Service bindings

  • Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with SAP best practices.

    • ABAP & RAP Expertise :

  • Apply OO ABAP concepts to create modular and reusable components.
  • Implement clean core architecture by minimizing custom code in the SAP standard.
  • Perform performance tuning and ensure adherence to coding standards.

    • Project Delivery :

  • Contribute to successful SAP implementations and roll-outs.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Provide technical documentation and support during testing, deployment, and hypercare phases.

    • Collaboration & Remote Work :

  • Work effectively in a remote setup with cross-functional teams across geographies.
  • Be available to visit the Bangalore office for critical project milestones or workshops when required.

    • Required Skills :

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with RAP and Fiori Elements.
  • Proficiency in ABAP on HANA, including CDS views and performance optimization.
  • Deep understanding of OO ABAP and clean code principles.
  • Experience in RESTful services, OData, and service provisioning.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP and Cloud-ready development (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • SAP certifications in ABAP, RAP, or Fiori development.
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies
