Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift L2 Support Engineer to provide technical support, maintenance, and operational management of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux administration , containerization , and Kubernetes / OpenShift troubleshooting , ensuring high availability and performance of containerized applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2-level support for OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pods, deployments, nodes, networking, and storage.
- Monitor and maintain cluster health, performance, and availability.
- Perform OpenShift upgrades, patch management, and routine cluster maintenance.
- Collaborate with L1 / L3 teams and application teams to analyze and resolve issues.
- Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and known issues.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and service improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Support roles.2+ years of hands-on experience in OpenShift / Kubernetes administration.Strong Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu) skills.Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker or Podman.Familiarity with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.Experience in networking and storage troubleshooting.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with good communication abilities.Good To Have
Red Hat OpenShift certifications (OCP, OCS) preferred.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.Exposure to cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Basic understanding of automation and scripting for cluster management.Skills Required
