Today, 75% of the wastewater treatment facilities (STPs / ETPs) in factories and buildings don't work properly because the expertise and data to handle such complex operations doesn't exist at the ground level.
Our IoT-enabled software platform for water is serving this $17 billion opportunity by managing the complete operations cycle for each one of these facilities and transforming them into compliant units delivering high quality water. We've been awarded by Cartier, Niti Aayog and FICCI for our innovative approach, backed by international investors like Elemental Excelerator (first Asian company in their portfolio!), and serve top-tier clients like Amazon, Reliance, Tata Power, Taj Hotels, and more.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with deep experience in industrial and infrastructure B2B sales. This is a high-impact role where you will be responsible for end-to-end sales ownership, from lead generation to closing deals, driving revenue and growth, and managing customer relationships. As a key player, you'll have a front-row seat to witness and contribute to the journey of a high-growth early-stage startup - making it ideal for individuals passionate about sustainability and sales.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Reach out to potential customers via direct sales, networking, events & social media
- Set up meetings with high potential leads, identify key decision makers, prepare & deliver appropriate presentations on the DigitalPaani product to convey solutions offering
- Generate and achieve revenue targets - owning the sales funnel from outreach to closing
- Building & maintaining strong relationships with customers to continuously grow the account.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to enhance sales effort
- Analyze industry trends, policy; regulations, competitive landscape, customer needs, white-spaces, opportunities to inform strategic decisions regarding sectoral and thematic focus, geographical expansion, and the development of new initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities :
Must Haves :
3-8 years of top tier experience in enterprise sales of software / IoT / automation solutions to B2B customersCandidates with Engineering / Business background from Tier 1 colleges / universities and showcased good academic performanceOrganized, structured and consistent in hitting monthly / quarterly / yearly sales targetsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects, should be well connected and networkedProficient with CRM software and MS Office / G SuiteExcellent fluency in English and Hindi backed by good communication and presentation skillsHigh level of humility, action-bias, dynamism, drive, and energy - great teammateWillingness to travel extensively within Delhi-NCR or Mumbai / Pune regionsGood to Have :
