Responsibilities
- Work on month-end revenue closing activities including, but not limited to, reviewing non-routine revenue
transactions, performing accounting assessments, preparing accurate journal entries, reconciliations, data
analysis, reporting disclosures, documenting revenue conclusions and ad hoc requests
Review Software and sales contracts for compliance and revenue implications under ASC 606Assist with adhoc analyses of revenue and billingMaintain internal control documentation and assist with revenue process developmentHelp in the internal and statutory auditAssist and support revenue manager in Interpreting contractual language to advise on and apply properapplication of accounting policies under ASC 606
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for various revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy andadherence to GAAP
Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues and improve accountingprocesses / efficiencies
Partner closely cross-functional to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices, automation,and continuous process improvements
Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and demonstrate excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills.
Requirements
You must have recently been a revenue accountant or the assistant revenue manager for a company in thesoftware space
CPA / CA and a bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred)Minimum of 4 years of experience in a corporate finance environment, ideally including 2-3 years of experiencein revenue accounting of software and cloud-based offerings
Experience in SAP / RAR or any ASC606 revenue model is a mustStrong experience with MS Office Suite, particularly ExcelShould be ready to work in flexible working hours (Swing shift or PST) to support the monthly / quarterly closingactivities and any adhoc requests, if any
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal andexternal organizations
Hybrid model – 3 days mandatory presence in office
