Job description

Job Title : Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG / MIG welder to join our team in the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques.

Fabrication Skills :

Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.

Setting up and operating TIG / MIG welding equipment and tools.

Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions as per job requirements.

Inspecting welded surfaces for defects using visual inspection and measurement tools.

Maintaining welding equipment and performing basic troubleshooting and repairs.

Measuring and cutting materials using hand or power tools as needed.

Safety Precautions :

FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY PROCEDURES AND WEARING APPROPRIATE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE).

Ensuring all work meets company quality standards and specifications.

Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Collaborating with other fabricators, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

A high school diploma or equivalent; technical welding certification preferred.

Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding (typically 3+ years).

Experience with Aluminum, Stainless Steel, or structural welding.

Strong knowledge of various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.).

The ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and safe welding practices.

Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various positions for extended periods.
