Job Purpose

  • To ensure organization’s legal interests are protected through effective handling of litigation, proactive legal risk management, and strategic legal support in business operations. Manager Legal will be responsible for managing civil, criminal, arbitration, and property-related cases;
  • liaising with external legal counsel;
  • and ensuring the legal integrity of all contractual and commercial transactions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Handling litigation matters. Co-ordinate with Law Firms & Advocates for initiating and follow-ups on legal procedures, handling civil, criminal & arbitration cases

    Regular and continuous interaction with Solicitors and Advocates and ensuring that strategies are implemented.

    Review & Vetting of pleadings / documents and ensuring that they are filed in Courts / Tribunals / Forum / Authorities within stipulated timelines.

    Structure and negotiate agreements with vendors, partners, and third party related to business of Company.

    Provide active legal and compliance support to the business on all legal matters including M&A, drafting, reviewing and finalisation of commercial contracts, business agreements, MoUs, Term Sheet, etc.

    Drafting, Vetting, Reviewing, Finalising, Managing, Tracking of various Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Contracts, Legal Documents including but not limited to Lease Deed, Trust Deed, Letter of Intent, Agreement to Lease, Sale Deed, Agreement to Sale, Leave and License Agreement, Service Level Contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreement, Power of Attorneys, Vendor Agreements, Notices etc.

    Handing litigation related to Property, Land & Real Estate

    Good Knowledge of Property and Land Transactions and laws pertaining to the same.

    Any other responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

    Able to work effectively with people at all levels.

    Qualifications

    Graduate in Law
