Job description

We are hiring for Steel Industry-Port Division

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Engineering in any discipline; MBA
  • 7-9 years of experience
  • Should have understanding of marine regulations

Location-Mumbai

Skills- Must have experience in Project-Port Planning.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive long-term strategic plan for the upcoming port assets, aligning it with the steel company's production targets, growth projections, and raw material procurement strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate future infrastructure requirements at the port such as berths, dredging, stackyard development, and specialized equipment (cranes, conveyors, etc.) based on requirements.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of capital projects, including budget and timeline oversight.
  • Hire and oversee consultants for feasibility studies, tendering etc.
  • Analyze port operational data (vessel turnaround time, cargo handling rates, yard utilization, etc.) to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Understand the rules and regulations of Maritime industry, support discussions with government and submit necessary documentation.
  • Develop business cases for all proposed projects and investments.
