Experience Level : Junior–Mid Data Engineer (2–4 yrs) with strong Python & SQL skills, hands-on ETL / ELT experience, and exposure to cloud data platforms.
Role Overview : We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and application needs. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure smooth data integration from multiple sources into modern cloud-based platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with solid Python and SQL expertise, practical experience in ETL / ELT processes, and familiarity with cloud data services.
What You'll Do
As part of the job, you will be required to :
Design and maintain data pipelines to automate ingestion from multiple sources into storage systems.
Develop and manage ETL / ELT workflows using tools like Apache Airflow and DBT.
Work with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to build scalable, cloud-native data solutions for storage, processing, and analytics.
Build ETL / ELT pipelines to transfer data from diverse sources—such as flat files, relational databases, and web scraping—into Firestore, Supabase, or other relational databases using Cloud Data Factories and data pipeline orchestration tools.
Write efficient Python scripts to manipulate and validate data pipelines.
Write optimized SQL queries to work with relational databases and support data pipeline efficiency.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance in production.
Document workflows and best practices, contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
What We're Looking For
Must have technical skills
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data engineering
Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL.
Hands-on experience with ETL / ELT workflows and pipeline tools (Airflow, DBT, Cloud Data Factories).
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Cassandra).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data services.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
