Job description

Our client is a leading Indian FMCG company renowned for its wide portfolio of edible oils, personal care, and home care products. We are looking for General Manager who will handle their General Trade & will be responsible for driving regional sales and distribution through team performance, development, and cost control, ensuring effective execution of organizational strategy at the ground level.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Achieve primary and secondary sales targets across brands and packs within the assigned geography.

2. Drive regional GTM strategy, sales planning, forecasting, and distribution effectiveness.

3. Manage trade spends, credit policies, and ensure financial discipline within the region.

4. Strengthen distributor health, investment, and compliance with company policies.

5. Oversee execution of sales promotions, trade activations, and visibility programs.

6. Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of regional teams.

7. Monitor sales analytics, market intelligence, and competition to identify growth opportunities.

8. Ensure adherence to systems, processes, and statutory requirements.

Requirements :

1. 15+ years of experience, with people management and distribution expertise.

2. MBA from top college.

3. Strong Business & Strategic Acumen : Demonstrates a big-picture approach with deep market understanding, strong result orientation, and the ability to manage large-scale business operations with precision.

4. High-Performance Leadership : Excels under pressure, balancing multiple priorities while driving outcomes through sharp selling, negotiation, and execution excellence even against challenging odds.
