Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced

Director of Engineering

with a proven track record of 20+ years across

software development, DevOps, product & services industry, client engagement, and team leadership . The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading engineering strategy, driving technical excellence, ensuring high-quality delivery, and building strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with organizational goals.

Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, DevOps culture, and automation-first mindset.

Oversee multiple engineering teams across product development and service delivery.

Technical Excellence

Provide thought leadership in architecture, programming, and scalable system design.

Ensure engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance across all teams.

Lead initiatives in cloud, DevOps, CI / CD, and emerging technologies.

Delivery & Execution

Ensure successful on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of products and services.

Establish metrics-driven engineering governance, performance tracking, and process optimization.

Manage complex projects, balancing competing priorities and dependencies.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as a trusted technology partner to clients, ensuring business alignment and satisfaction.

Manage executive-level communication with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Contribute to pre-sales, solutioning, and client relationship expansion.

Team Management & Development

Lead and mentor engineering managers, architects, and senior engineers.

Build a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent.

Qualifications & Skills

20+ years of experience in

software engineering, programming, and DevOps practices .

Proven leadership in both

product-based and services-based industries .

Strong experience in

client management, stakeholder communication, and delivery ownership .

Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.

Deep understanding of

cloud platforms, modern architectures, and automation frameworks .

Track record of managing

large, distributed, and cross-functional teams .

Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on technical levels.

Preferred Attributes

Experience in scaling engineering organizations globally.

Exposure to modern data engineering, AI / ML, or platform engineering.

Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology strategy to business outcomes.
