UAV Integration Engineer

Job Title : UAV Integration EngineerAbout Defendron Technologies - We are an early age startup developing cutting edge AI hardware+software stack for vision based autonomy in robotics. We make products that are used in Defence & Aerospace applications operating in harsh environments. We power the next generation of visual autonomy with ultra-compact, ultra-reliable multi-spectral payloads with onboard video processing and jitter stabilization.About the Role : This crucial role at Defendron involves understanding intricacies of our camera payload systems and working with large UAV manufacturers to integrate our payloads in their drones while understanding their constraints. The role also involves timely support and frequent on-site visit at customer locations as well as at field trials of armed forces as needed. The role involves high exposure to the workings of the drone industry in India and abroad. We are looking for a talented generalist who can learn diverse skills quickly and make an impact.Roles & Responsibilities : Enable world-class UAV OEM’s to seamlessly integrate Defendron camera payloads in their drones and ground control software.Assist our customers to succeed in field trials across India while gathering valuable feedback for product improvements.Collaborate with engineering teams to implement features, bug-fixes of camera to ensure high product quality and customer satisfactionProvide on-site support and troubleshooting as needed by our customersAssist in product certification and compliance processesBrainstorm next generation use-cases and New Product Ideas based on the on-field experience working with users from armed forces and security personnel.Qualification : 1-3 years of industry experience preferably in UAV or Aerospace IndustryExperience handling complex mechatronics products involving electronics, software and mechanical elements.Good understanding of communication protocols (UART (serial), Ethernet, SPI, etc.), mechanical and electrical interfacesFamiliarity with Flight Controllers like Ardupilot / PX4 and Ground Control Softwares like QGC, Mission Planner, etc. is preferableHands-on experience in piloting a UAV is highly desirable.Perks : Competitive SalaryWorking together with world-class team of innovators and veterans in UAVOpportunity to learn few of the most sophisticated pieces of military grade technology in UAVs
