Job Title : Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the assessment and design of bridges. This involves undertaking assessments of existing bridges and preparing reports based on your experience in steel composite, pretension / posttension structures.

You will carry out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair, as well as prepare new bridge designs and strengthening designs to UK standards. Your work must comply with appropriate design and health and safety standards and procedures.

Your tasks will include carrying out design and assessment checks under the guidance of a senior or principal engineer. You will also prepare or assist others in compiling drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines.

To ensure quality and compliance, you will implement document control and QA processes for issue and filing / archiving of all work carried out. You must produce work to specified WSP design standards and suggest revisions to standards as appropriate.

In addition, you will use WSP calculation templates and ensure calculation sheets comply with WSP standards. You will utilize WSP technical library and information systems to assist design work.
