About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Amazon Redshift and PostgreSQL, along with a strong background in modern data warehousing practices, schema design, and performance tuning. You will play a key role in optimizing database structures and supporting analytics initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement scalable database schemas, migration scripts, and indexing strategies for large datasets.
Collaborate with data and analytics teams to support modern data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks.
Optimize query performance and troubleshoot complex database issues to ensure high availability, data integrity, and efficient execution.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth database integration and data flow across environments.
Implement and maintain best practices for database security, backup, and disaster recovery.

Required Experience & Skills :

Proven experience as a Database Developer, with hands-on expertise in Amazon Redshift and PostgreSQL.

Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and schema design.

Experience working with ETL processes, data migration, and analytics workloads.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining migration scripts and indexing strategies.

Good understanding of data modeling, data governance, and warehouse architecture.

Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
