About the Role

We are seeking an experienced  Senior UK Accountant  to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of  UK GAAP, FRS 102 / 105 , and  Companies House  requirements, along with experience managing a portfolio of clients. You'll be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, supervising junior staff, and ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review  year-end statutory accounts  under  UK GAAP / FRS 102 or FRS 105 .
• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting and tax services.
• Oversee  VAT returns, payroll submissions, and management accounts .
• Liaise with  HMRC and Companies House  on filings, queries, and compliance matters.
• Conduct  balance sheet reconciliations , journal entries, and month-end adjustments.
• Support the preparation of  corporation tax computations  and  self-assessment tax returns .
• Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide mentorship and technical guidance.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to best practice across the accounting function.
