We are seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Senior Google Application Migration & Modernization Architect with a strong Full Stack background to lead complex enterprise migration and modernization initiatives onto Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in application architecture, cloud services, and modernization patterns, coupled with exceptional communication and executive-level engagement skills. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of relevant architect experience , a proven track record with Google products and solutions, and the ability to design and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

Design and Architect Solutions : Lead the design and implementation of application migration strategies from on-premises or other clouds to GCP, utilizing patterns like lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and refactoring.

Modernization Expertise : Drive application modernization efforts leveraging GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Serverless technologies (Cloud Functions), and managed databases.

Full Stack Proficiency : Provide architectural guidance and hands-on direction across the full stack, including frontend frameworks, APIs, microservices, data persistence, and CI / CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build and Tekton .

Security & Compliance : Ensure all solutions adhere to best practices for security, networking, identity management, and compliance on GCP.

Strategy & Client Engagement

Executive Consulting : Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and senior stakeholders, articulating the business value and technical rationale for migration and modernization proposals.

Communication & Presentation : Develop and deliver compelling, high-quality oral and written presentations, whitepapers, and proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Migration Pattern Expertise : Deep understanding and practical application of various application migration methodologies and tools , including the Google Cloud Migration Center.

Innovation & AI / ML Integration

AI / ML Integration : Proactively identify opportunities to embed AI and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities (e.g., using Vertex AI, Document AI, or BigQuery ML) into modern application architectures to drive business value and innovation.

Thought Leadership : Stay current with the latest Google Cloud innovations, particularly in application development, security, and AI / ML services, and integrate them into solution roadmaps.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor%27s or Master%27s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant years of progressive and impactful experience in application development, architecture and exposure to cloud platforms - Google Cloud Platform.

Relevant years of experience in enterprise application development, architecture, and cloud migration / modernization.

Google Cloud Expertise : Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with core Google Cloud Platform products and services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery , VPC, IAM). Google Cloud Professional Architect certification is highly desirable.

Full Stack Skills : Proven experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js) and architecture patterns (microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven).

Executive Presence : Demonstrable experience in executive connects and delivering impactful presentations and written communicationsExceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical visions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing data engineering teams within a cloud-first environment.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
