Job descriptionAt least 18 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within shipbuilding, heavy engineering, or related sectors. Strong expertise in importing, LC payment terms, supplier negotiation, contract management, and leading procurement teams. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related; MBA or professional certifications in Procurement / Supply Chain preferred. High leadership, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in procurement software, ERP, and MS Office. A challenging and rewarding career opportunity in a dynamic industry. Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement leader to join our team. As a General Manager Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the procurement of equipment and bulk materials for large-scale shipbuilding and heavy engineering projects.
Main Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to secure best pricing, quality, and continuity of supply.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure full compliance with maritime / engineering standards and quality management systems.
- Oversee inventory, stock levels, documentation, and audit requirements to minimize delays and support uninterrupted operations.
- Drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process improvement initiatives across procurement activities.
