Strong understanding of Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels and experience authoring questions at DOK Level 2 and DOK Level 3 . Familiarity with various question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, and short-answer, fill the blanks, matching list, choice matrix, etc . High accuracy and turnaround time, as this is a very short project. Ability to work within the Canvas LMS environment and follow specific content delivery requirements.
Overview
LearningMate Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to author assessment items for High School End-of-Course (EOC) testing in Science (Biology) . This role is crucial for developing a robust test bank intended for state testing across multiple US states.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment Item Authoring : Author high-quality, SME-authored non-multiple-choice assessment items for the test bank, focusing exclusively on High School Biology (Grade 9) content.
- Use the provided AI tools to generate assessment items and then review and correct them as needed to align with the state standard and meet the DOK rigor requirements.
- Item Type & Complexity : Author a mix of assessment question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, and short-answer questions.
- Depth of Knowledge (DOK) Alignment : Ensure that all SME-authored non-multiple-choice assessment items align with the specified DOK levels : 50% DOK Level 2 and 50% DOK Level 3 .
