Senior Consultant SAP PI-PO

SAP Skills

  • SAP PI / PO / CPI Senior consultant with 6years of experience in various implementations rollout and support encompassing a wide range of skillset roles and industry verticals including Tax Revenue management Human Resource Workday Manufacturing etc.
  • SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO) : Mastery of SAP PO . This includes understanding its architecture components and functionalities such as Enterprise Service Repository (ESR) Integration Directory (ID) and Business Process Management (BPM).
  • Integration Technologies : Strong knowledge of various integration technologies supported by SAP PO such as XML SOAP REST JDBC JMS RFC etc.
  • Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) : Understanding of ESB concepts and how SAP PO serves as an ESB within the SAP landscape.
  • SAP Systems Knowledge : Familiarity with different SAP systems (e.g. SAP ECC SAP S / 4HANA SAP CRM) and their integration patterns.
  • Integration Patterns : Understanding of different integration patterns like synchronous / asynchronous point-to-point publish-subscribe etc. and their implementation within SAP PO.
  • Mapping and Transformation : Proficiency in SAP Integration Builder for mapping and transforming data between different formats (e.g. XML JSON IDoc flat files).
  • Java Development : Knowledge of Java for custom development within SAP PO especially for custom adapter modules and Java mappings.
  • Security : Understanding of security concepts and best practices in SAP PO including SSL / TLS SFTP user authentication and authorization.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Ability to monitor message flows analyze errors and troubleshoot issues within SAP PO using tools like SAP Solution Manager or third-party monitoring tools.
  • SAP NetWeaver : Familiar with SAP NetWeaver platform and its components as SAP PO is built on top of NetWeaver.
  • Documentation and Communication : Strong documentation skills to capture integration requirements design specifications and configuration details. Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.
  • Continuous Learning : SAP landscape is constantly evolving so staying updated with the latest SAP PO releases features and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design : Analyse business requirements and design integration solutions using SAP PO. This involves understanding the existing systems landscape identifying integration touchpoints and defining integration patterns and architectures.
  • Development : Configure integration scenarios within SAP PO using tools like Enterprise Service Repository (ESR) for service development Integration Directory (ID) for configuration and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) for process modelling. Develop mappings transformations and adapter configurations as per requirements.
  • Interface Development : Build interfaces to enable communication between different systems and applications including SAP and non-SAP systems. This involves developing mappings message routing rules and custom adapter modules as needed.
  • Testing : Conduct unit testing integration testing and end-to-end testing of integration scenarios to ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with functional teams and business users to validate the solution.
  • Deployment : Plan and execute the deployment of integration scenarios from development to production environments. Ensure proper version management and transport of objects between different SAP PO landscapes.
  • Monitoring and Support : Set up monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively monitor message flows system health and performance of integration scenarios. Provide support for incident resolution troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Documentation : Maintaining comprehensive documentation of integration solutions including design specifications configuration guides test cases and operational procedures. Ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
